During ULTRASOUND, we provided the following services in the FOH:
- Engagement of 1 Volunteer fluent in ASL to facilitate and respond to any patron inquiries.
- Engagement of 1 professional ASL/English Interpreter to facilitate any front of house pre-show announcements as well as box office related interactions.
- FOH interpreting personnel arrived in all black attire.
Interpreters were provided with a button that had the ‘interpreter’ sign on it, to identify themselves easily to patrons.
Note: The engagement of interpreters will add an invaluable warmth as you welcome Deaf patrons to your space.It is important to provide full access for the entirety of a patron’s experience – from purchasing a ticket to pre-show announcements to the production itself.
