It is understood that some companies have extremely limited resources. We do not want to discourage you from doing whatever you feel is in your capacity to do.

Some suggestions for providing access on a budget:

  • Review the DATT so that you are well informed of the possibilities.
  • Compile a prioritized list of desired activities for access (eg. number of interpreted performances, DI vs ASL/English interpreter, Surtitles, etc).
  • Schedule a meeting with a Deaf community consultant to determine what is feasible for your budget. The cost will be approximately  $50- $100/hour.
